Forum: forums Subject: Re: Upload complete. What now?

ok, not entirely sure what happened (sigh 8-)
your upload dir had all your files, but none of the ".xml" files we make from your form submissions.
whereas the item "live" had all the ".xml" files but none of your files (!)

so i manually copied all the ".xml" files back into your upload dir and "became you" 8-)
and "submitted your item for replacement".

it is queued now, and i think this time it should go through.

this doesn't normally happen, so i'm not entirely sure what happened.

Would you mind taking another look at because progress is being made, but the files aren't quite there yet.

If users go to the FTP site, they can get all of the files (including the MD5 file), and that's great. But if they visit the above URL, they won't see any of the files.

It looks like the data on the FTP site (audio44) and the XML files describing the files are out of sync.

But this particular entry looks a lot closer to normal than it has ever been, thanks to you Tracey Pooh, so thanks so much for all of your help.

hi, ok,

so i think the issue might be that you have a "rules.conf" file in your item that might have caused mp3s *not* to be made (did you not want them "derived" from your flac/oggs?)

the audio (See "Whole Directory" link on the left) is fully downloadable.
i'm not sure what "triggers" files to show up in the middle wide column, but it seems if there are mp3s and/or wavs, then rows show up...

going to ask brad leblanc to help us out here on that...

We're good - the links in the middle of the page are created with the files.xml information, so I Edited the details page, clicked "File Options" and filled it out again.

10 minutes later, the links appeared correctly. We see this happen a lot in the LMA section if users rename or change files after importing and describing them.

Forum: forums Subject: It ain't over 'til it's over, and now it's over!

I was operating on the (apparently incorrect) idea that I could get to somehow see the files I was seeing on the FTP site if I asked the site to make derivatives. I didn't really want derivatives, but I thought I could turn it off if I saw trying to make derivatives.

So I turned on derivative files, checked my process list, and didn't see derivatives in the job queue. So that idea proved to be a bust, hence I turned off derivative creation and waited for someone who knew better to do something.

Thanks to both of you for your attentive help, everything is fine now.
